Master Instructor Nick Elliott has devoted his life to helping men, women, and children live to their fullest potential. He believes that peoples’ lives are what they make of them and every opportunity he gets he encourages people to have the best life possible—by making good decisions and having a positive attitude.
Over the years, he has taught thousands of people and helped many to achieve their dreams. Master Elliott often says, “It does not stop here. This is only the beginning and there are many good things to come.”
If you have dreams for yourself and your children, Master Elliott would love to meet you and help you bring your dreams to reality.
Mr. Klettke began training with Master Elliott years ago, and it didn’t take long for a new passion and sense of purpose to take root! After 11 years of working in the trades, it was time to give his dream of teaching Tae Kwon Do wings. Boldly in faith, Mr. & Mrs. Klettke opened Family Tae Kwon Do Champions Sussex location in September 2018 to change not only their lives, but the lives of others!
Mr. Klettke is an avid hunter and skilled craftsman. He loves the great outdoors and spending time with his wife, their two boys, and Golden Retriever, Joe.
“I want to be a person of positive influence in the lives of my students. You are capable of doing anything you want to if you pour your mind and heart into it!”
Mrs. Klettke is Mr. Klettke’s right-hand woman! Together they own and operate Family Tae Kwon Do Champions in Sussex. Mrs. Klettke initially researched Tae Kwon Do for their oldest son and was blown away by Family Tae Kwon Do Champions. “During a time when our son needed extra support, and we needed a healthy way to release stress, Master Elliott was there for us! Tae Kwon Do has been such a positive force in our family. I cannot imagine our lives now without it!”
When Mrs. Klettke isn’t hard at work, she enjoys camping, downhill skiing, paddle boarding and going on adventures with all of her boys.
“Whatever obstacles you or your child are facing, choose to rise above! You are strong! Don’t let others define who you are. There is only one you in the whole world, and you were wonderfully made to do amazing things!”
Growing up Mr. O has always enjoyed working with kids. In the summertime, he worked at a church camp for a week as an assistant counselor, leading groups of kids through all the camp activities. Mr. O is now 30 years old and has worked in a handful of positions including: working the lanes and kitchen at Sussex Bowl, being a Teller and Manager at Guaranty Bank, and having a customer service position at Target. He is very thankful for the opportunity to be part of the FTKDC Family because he enjoys working one on one with families and helping them become the best that they can be.
In the future, Mr. O would like to manage and own a FTKDC location. He has grown to love the school and all that it does for the families in the community, so he wants to own a part of that and help make it grow!
In his free time he enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with his wife. Mr. O and his wife like to go out to eat, go to the movies, and take road trips to neat places like House On The Rock. Their next destination to visit is the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Indiana.
During Ms. James’ childhood her parents insisted she experienced everything, so she participated in dance, soccer, softball, gymnastics, swimming, golf, piano lessons, and many other activities. She became most interested in dance, which she did until the end of high school. After high school she attended the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh where she became an active member of the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. Ms. James held multiple positions including: Vice President of Membership, Director of Social Events, Recruitment Counselor, and Music Chairman. She has spent a lot of time volunteering, especially for her sorority’s philanthropy: Breast Cancer Education Awareness. Ms. James graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration Degree, specializing in Human Resources Management.
Ms. James just joined the FTKDC Family in February 2017, but she has found that the people she works with on a daily basis are extremely passionate and dedicated, which has made her very excited to be a part of the team. In the future she hopes to take part in the growth of FTKDC and become a part of a larger administrative team, where she can help lead new employees and assist them in carrying out FTKDC’s values. She also hopes to continue on with taking lessons and move to a higher belt.
Most of Ms. James’ free time is spent with family, friends, her boyfriend (Josh) and her cat (Tucker). Other than that, she loves experiencing unfamiliar places, so she finds great pleasure in traveling. She tries to make it a point to go somewhere she has never been every year. She also likes to read mostly anything, but especially enjoys thriller novels and informative articles.
Mr. Cole was born in New York where he started training in martial arts at the age of 5 and earned his black belt when he was 12. He studied Mass Media and Communications before moving to Wisconsin where his daughter was born. He went into the military for 8 years where he served as a Hospital Core Man for a Recon Team. After returning home he worked with kids with Autism and Prader Willi Syndrome for some time before he met Ms. Barczak who introduced him to Master Elliott. After a few classes and training he knew he wanted to be an instructor at FTKDC.
Mr. Cole would like to open up a FTKDC in the future where his daughter can instruct and he could eventually leave her the school to run on her own. He would like to be successful enough to travel all over the world to study new languages, cultures, and martial arts. He wants to help others and bridge the gaps between each martial art so everyone can focus on the most important thing, helping people.
In his free time he likes to spend time with his daughter and family, watch movies, play video games, and study tae kwon do.
Ms. Barczak has lived a very active lifestyle her entire life, taking part in many sports and activities including: basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, and tae kwon do. Her junior year of high school she decided to fully commit herself to basketball and earned a Division II scholarship to Hillsdale College in Michigan where she played for 4 years and graduated with a Financial Management Degree. After graduating college, she worked in an accounting department before becoming a personal trainer and fitness manager at a fitness center, where she met Master Elliott. After training with him for a few years, she decided to take a leap of faith and open a Family Tae Kwon Do Champions in Oconomowoc!
Family Tae Kwon Do Champions has changed her life in so many positive ways, but the way it’s impacted her the most is that it has given her a platform to help other people. She says there is no better feeling than to see a student improve not only as a martial artist, but in other areas of life, especially: confidence, health, and overall happiness. Her goal is to help other people with these same intentions open their own Family Tae Kwon Do Champions across the nation so they can live a happier, more fulfilled life!
In her free time she loves to work out at the gym, run outside, play tennis, and find other fun ways to stay active. She also loves watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Bucks, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and reading.
